Why stages, not a pitch

  1. 01
You can't price a leak you can't see Most firms can't say how many enquiries arrived last month, how many reached a quote, or how many quotes were won. Until those numbers exist, any proposal is guesswork — which is why the work starts by measuring, not by selling you a fix.
  2. 02
Every enquiry route leaks differently A web form that arrives at 6pm on a Friday fails differently from a phone call that lands while everyone's on site, and both fail differently from a Checkatrade lead. Lumping them together hides the real problem, so they get counted separately.
  3. 03
The fix depends on what's found Sometimes it's response speed. Sometimes it's follow-up. Sometimes the honest first step is just measurement, because the numbers don't exist yet. Committing to a fix before the diagnosis is how money gets spent on the wrong thing.

The four stages

Stage 01

How fast do you reply to a new enquiry — and how fast do your four nearest rivals? I submit an enquiry to your business and to four named local competitors, time every reply, and show you the comparison. Done in the open, and free. You'll know exactly where you stand in your own town before you've spent a penny.

Stage 02
Pipeline Diagnostic

A paid, standalone look at your whole enquiry-to-won pipeline, stage by stage — every route an enquiry can arrive by, counted separately. It prices what each leak is costing you using your own numbers, not industry averages, and states its recovery assumption openly so you can challenge it. I interview the people who actually handle your enquiries, not only you. You get two or three costed options rather than one recommendation, plus a ranked list of everything the options don't cover. Useful on its own, whether or not anything follows.

Stage 03
Implementation

Building whichever option you chose. Scoped and priced from the diagnostic — you'll know what you're buying and why before anything starts. Before any build begins, four numbers get written down and agreed: first-response time, enquiries received, enquiries reaching a quote, and quote-to-won rate. That's the baseline the work is judged against — without it, neither of us could say whether it worked.

Stage 04
Ongoing Management

Owning your enquiry-to-won pipeline month to month: keeping the system running, reporting one number you actually care about — enquiries won — and steadily working through the ranked list the diagnostic produced. Not hosting and backups. Continuous improvement of the thing that brings the work in.

What the fix can look like

Depending on what the diagnostic finds, implementation can mean a system that responds to new enquiries fast and follows them up until they answer, a simple pipeline so every enquiry has an owner and a status, automation of the manual steps that slow your week down, a rebuilt website where the site itself is part of the leak, and measurement so you can see whether any of it worked. What gets built is whichever costed option you chose — never a bundle decided in advance.

The audit is free, and it answers a question you can't currently answer: how fast you look to a customer who has just enquired with you and four of your rivals.
